To provide a professional and accurate service to external clients, internal Personnel and Consultants.

Responsible for ensuring adequate support to the Projects/Contracts manager in the day-to-day construction management of brickwork construction contracts from award of contract to completion. The role will involve working closely with the Contract/Project managers to assist in ensuring the project is delivered on time. On budget and defect free.

1.     Key accountabilities

  • Reports to the Contract Director/ Contracts manager/Construction Director
  • Supports the site team in the implementation of the Health & Safety, Quality and environmental policy
  • Support and assist in the management of Design to ensure Lee Marley’s responsibilities are met
  • Coordination with Subcontractor design and design consultants where necessary
  • Assist with Design documentation ensuring it is clearly controlled and managed 
  • Work with the LMB design manager in reviewing incoming and outgoing design documentation and ensure it is being distributed to the correct locations
  • Assist with ensuring we are meeting the required CDM, NHBC and any statutory authority compliance
  • Assist the Site team in the co-ordination of design with construction requirements
  • Ensure all relevant information / documentation is available for the site team to carry out their work
  • Assist with directing and delivering all construction activity in accordance with the programm
  • Assist in Creating, monitoring, reviewing and adjusting short-term programmes and job plans to ensure time requirements are met and regularly report on progress
  • Assist in managing site complaints and grievances
  • Assist in managing the site OHS &E including the development and implementation of the Project Rams; ensuring compliance with Lee Marley BMS Health & safety and Environmental requirements; audit safety files; maintain records and documentation.  Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times through regular inspection and rectification
  • Assist in managing the site Quality Assurance including: ensure compliance with the Lee Marley Management System and Processes; audit compliance with QA and the Lee Marley Management System; maintain records and documentation
  • Supervisory responsibilities include planning and delegating work and motivating staff
  • Assist in controlling costs ensuring you are fully aware of budget/risks commercially
  • Ensure that accurate site records are maintained
  • Assist in maintaining the client relationships to provide opportunity for further work
  • Ensure compliance with Lee Marley Management System and processes
  • Assist Commercial Manager with valuations/variations evidence
  • Liaison with construction staff and sub-contractor in planning and executing work including the sequencing and timing
  • Assist in the Implementation of the quality Plan & ITP requirements at site level.
  • Assist with the documentation required to achieve Practical Completion (including As Built drawings, O&M Manuals, etc)
  • Submit Samples, Quality Benchmarks, Mock-ups and Prototypes for Approval – and manage the process for their approval
  • Co-ordination with the Site Team
  • Co-ordination of suppliers
  • Attend all meetings required to meet the clients’ needs
  • Assist in managing labour levels to suit the project needs including reviewing pay averages, dismissal of labour and also recruiting as needed
  • Ensure site documentation is retained either electronically or in paper returned to the office upon completion of the project
